I hope you guys liked how I pulled together my inspiration board with our master bedroom and shared it here! There seemed to be a lot of great feedback when posting it so I figured we would do the same with another hugely used room in our home- the family room!

We have a total open concept main floor so you can see the dining room, family room and bar from walking in the front door and just beyond that is the kitchen. So when standing in the kitchen, again, you can see everything! We love that and was such an appeal to us when house hunting because we enjoy entertaining and wanted a space that would do that nicely.

Everything shown here is a similar style to what we went with in our family room and I'll share the reveal in about a week but because everything opens and coordinates with each other in those rooms, I'll also be pulling a inspiration board from our kitchen and dining room for you as well with a reveal post to follow. How does that sound?

When working in this new family room space, I love crisp white and neutrals as do many people but I knew it wouldn't be realistic to maintain with the kids and a big (black) dog. I opted to go with a bold rug to pop the whole area and then accented with still, neutrals, but more warm neutrals so it wasn't white other than wall decor details. A deep taupe couch (x2 actually!), cow print side chairs, navy ottomans and a rustic coffee table. So far, it's been a dream and the wear and tear is holding up nicely! We shopped mainly at AllModern for this room because HELLO, one stop shop but the quality is proving perfect already!

I'm sure you've seen this space before on instagram but I can't wait to officially share it on the blog in the coming week! I will warn you, it'll be with Christmas decor! ;)
