It's been a long time coming working on pulling together all the pieces for Emery's big girl room and it's slowly, but surely coming together. I have almost all the items in my hands and I've been adding details here and there. We tackled the shiplap wall a few days ago (come back Friday for a recap on that!) with the help of my parents and since that's been complete, it's been seamless moving forwarding adding all the fun decor details.

I had a vision for this space not long after we moved into our current home as I've been figuring out my interior style and watching Emery fall completely in love with horses, I knew this space would be something she could grow with over time yet keep is light, airy, feminine and add a touch of horses.

I started with this artwork from minted because, quite simply, it's stunning. I've also snagged this one to compliment the navy rifle paper co print I'm using as her sham and throw blanket. I had a hard time deciding on her bed, to be honest! I was initially thinking something upholstered but after looking for a few weeks, I couldn't pass up this simple scalloped metal one from Walmart. It's an ivory tone and pairs perfect with the chevron jute rug I picked.

On to her bed and linens... Andrew and I personally have a king 4Sleep mattress and adore it so it was a no brainer for us to get the same in a twin for her. We will be getting Drake one as well in the near future! He has a queen now (our old master one) but he just doesn't need something that large. I'm all about simplifying and collecting quality pieces right now so I say let's nix the bigger mattress and get a smaller, great quality one from 4Sleep.

I originally purchased a white ruffled comforter from Amazon and didn't love it upon arrival. That said, I splurged on this blush duvet from Anthropologie and this insert. It came in the mail and all my doubts diminished. It's simply amazing in person- so soft and the color is spot on.

I'll be finishing it all out with some vintage frames, watercolor ABC cards from a local shop, a fun tent and her play kitchen and some wicker and rustic details. I can't wait to share the final space with you all in just a couple weeks!

Are you a mom like me who just love creating a special space for your kids? I get so much enjoyment out of it!
