Beauty
Anastasia Brush #14 // I'm sure you could find a dupe for this easily but I got roped in when buying the pomade and I really do love this! I've used it for lining my lip as well so it has dual purpose.
Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade // It really is as good as people make it out to be. Applies smooth, stays on all day and the color options are great. I'm blonde with ashy tones so I went with taupe and it's a perfect match. There's a ton of product in the container too so I'm assuming it'll last me a while.
Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer // This sucked me in by the name and the packaging and then when I used it the first time, the coconut water in it had me all googly eyed. It smells completely divine and it's been great to awaken my face after restless nights and ensures my foundation goes on seamlessly.
There you have it! Basics that I think everyone should have and after using them for a while now, I know they'll constantly be rotating through my makeup bag. I have sensitive, acne prone skin and they work great with that so I hope it does for you too!
Beauty Favorites
It's been a while since I've updated you on my beauty favorites and since having Emery and becoming really busy with life, my routine has taken a smaller and quicker route. That being said, I wanted to share my go-to's right now I've added over the last year. Before I begin, I'm still using Tarte BB Tinted Treatment (in light) for my foundation and Maybelline Mascara. Also, my favorite palette for eyeshadow is Naked 2 by Urban Decay.
Tarte Colored Clay CC Eye Primer // This little beauty primes those eyelids so beautifully for shadow and I feel like my color comes out more pigmented when prepping with this primer. Maybe it's a mind thing but I'm a fan.
Benefit Hoola // I switched over to this recently from this palette because it's smaller and easy to maintain since I don't use every color in the other palette. This is great for everyday wear, the color is rich and is buildable. Something I'd buy again and again! I do still love this palette though- it offers more shades to make your contour more extreme or lighter depending on your outing.

I am really terrible at updating here on the blog but she's been so fun and active lately so I got my camera out this morning to film her a bit in her element. Mobile, sassy babe is all I can say!

How To | Tassel Curtains
I've been waiting to hang curtains in the office because I wasn't quite sold on any yet. I was looking at Jessica's nursery reveal yesterday and came across these beauties. Totally lovely and would go so well with the style of my office but that price tag?! Yikes! I looked a bit closer and realized this could be something I could accomplish on my own with a much smaller price tag- so I did!
HERE'S THE RUN DOWN FOR YOU TO DO THE SAME!
Simple enough, right? And a much more budget friendly option. The tassel border was originally $10.99 a yard but I had a 50% off coupon at Joann's so that saved me a bunch there! These are the curtains I used as well from Target. And because the office is done now, here are a few more snaps!
Happy DIY-ing.

Tips for a Statement Gallery Wall
It's the never ending battle of arranging and rearranging furniture when moving. You have in your mind how you'd like things to look but you can't be sure until things are in place and you're visually seeing it all. The same goes for the little things like a bookcase or gallery wall and let's be honest, I once was the person who put 80 nails into one wall to figure out how I'd like my gallery wall to be hung. That being said, I've learned some tips so let's debrief on those... shall we?
Mix Tones- I'm a neutral kind of person but I think what makes a gallery wall pop is adding different colors and tones throughout. I'm a lover of gold and white so I know those would be involved on our newest creation but I've been stretching myself with silver and rustic pieces as well.
Add Texture- See that lovely floral bowl above? It's a bowl from IKEA that I've loved over the years it's been mine and I wanted to do something creative. Add the textures of that coming off the wall made such a statement as well as the Mini Alfred deer head from WFT on Etsy. Simple and clean but they add the right touch. A blanket or tapestry would be lovely as well!
Create a Focal Point- I found this art print (by Jenni Kupelian) on Minted about a month back and knew it needed to be in our family room. I've been on a journey of really molding my style and letting that reflect in our new house and it was the perfect piece to be the focal point of the room. Minted offers it framed as well with a huge selection so I went with a simple white frame knowing I was going to add rustic and gold elements elsewhere. Your focal doesn't always have to be a picture but in this case, it was a winner!
Test Before Hanging- Instead of throwing everything up and just guessing on where you'd like things placed, lay everything out on the floor and arrange it as you'd like it to look on your wall. This offers the flexibility of making changes without permanently damaging your brand new home! Trust me on this one and don't skip the step- it's worth it!
Do you have any tips on gallery walls? I'm all ears because we have one more left to complete before I'm putting the hammer down!

Vacation for the Soul
We just flew home yesterday from upstate New York and we are happy to be home. It's funny how just moving into the house, it hasn't quite felt like ours yet because it's still so fresh but after leaving for a week and coming home to it, it was so warm and inviting and felt right. That absolutely solidified it being our space to grow in and make memories.
On the same note, our trip to NY was for my cousin's wedding and I've spent years all throughout my childhood going back there to visit my dad's brother and his family. Over those many years, they've always lived in the same home with this beautiful backyard complete with a tree swing. I remember summers having contests with my brother and two cousins on who could jump off the farthest and when I was there with Andrew a few years back and we were able to enjoy some time swinging together. It was that much more memorable and emotional (as always) to share it now with Emery. It was food for my soul and the time spent on a sweet, simple family vacation was much needed in this busy season of our lives.
Hope you had a great Monday!

No Churn Strawberry Ice Cream | With The Butter Half
Hellllllo yumminess. Do you guys remember back here when Abbey first debuted on the blog? Well she's back for her second installment of sharing a sweet recipe with you from her blog, The Butter Half! I just love Abbey and all she offers out of life being a mama and wife but this girl really does it all with her cooking and baking too.
We thought since summer is soon coming to a close, it would be fun to share a quick and easy no churn ice cream you can plan to make for Labor Day or your next BBQ with friends or family.
Let's get to it!
T H E B E S T N O C H U R N S T R A W B E R R Y I C E C R E A M
prep time: 25 minutes
freeze time: 8 hours (overnight)
yield: 1 quart
I N G R E D I E N T S
2 cups strawberries, halved
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
2 cups heavy whipping cream
I N S T R U C T I O N S
1. In a blender or food processor, puree strawberries. Strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve if you don’t want the seeds (I don’t strain mine).
2. Mix the condensed milk and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Add in strawberry puree and mix well. Using a stand or electric mixer, beat the heavy cream on medium speed until it is thick and peaks form. Add in the whipped cream to the berry mixture and whisk together thoroughly.
3. Line a 9×5 loaf pan or glass dish with parchment paper and evenly pour the ice cream mixture into the container. Cover and set in the freezer overnight or at least 8 hours. Serve in some sugar cones or in a bowl with a huge dollop of whipped cream.

New House | Emery's Room
I am super pumped to share all the new rooms in the home over the next month or so. We've slightly moved things around and redid our whole family room/dining area so I'm excited to show how we used what we had before with little purchased to create a new, fresh and updated space.
First up, Emery's room! We definitely had a light airy feel when we first created this space and after living in it for a while, I wanted to accent the mint and peach/pinks a bit more. Everything we had was used again and we added a couple touches to brighten it up with color! Before we had the simple faux fur rugs and we opted for the Lulu & Georgia Elodie rug (shown in 5x8) this time around which really pops and pulls all the other colors in the room. We swapped the white lamp shade for this mint one from The Land of Nod and changed the sunburst mirror for this amazing, intricate beauty from The Land of Nod as well!
We didn't have any more wall space in the old house so when we knew this would be Emmy's room I wanted to add some more prints on another wall because I've always loved the frames that my mom past down. Again, we hit up The Land of Nod and got this, this and this. Ashley Gabby Designs sent us the adorable bunting recently too and it was a perfect match tying this wall together.
She has a walk in closet this time around and it's been a God send for all her miscellaneous baby gear and things she's already outgrown. It blew my mind the amount of clothes we've already packed away and she's going through a spurt now too so I just ordered some more items from Gap during their sale. Oye!
crib (similar) | sheet | bumpers (on sale!) | rocker | pouf | dresser | end table | lamp base (similar) | lamp shade | tassel garland (custom) | ram head (similar options) | EOK letters (hobby lobby & spray painted) | heart blanket | fur rug | elodie rug | pillows (similar) | storage bin (home goods) | sunburst frame (marshalls) | white frames (vintage) | gold foil prints- ss print shop & b is for bonnie | bunting | art prints | flower crown mirror | curtains & rod (ikea) | gold foil canvas (Lindsay Letters) | bookcases (ikea- spray painted) | pacifier dish (waiting on martha) | ceramic pig (marshalls) | lamb chair
Accent with Rugs
Emery's room had simple faux fur in our last home but I knew as soon as I saw the Elodie rug from Lulu & Georgia, I needed it for her new "colorful" room. It pulls all the beautiful tones out so nicely in everything I've used to decorate and I still layered it with another rug so it's a fun accent and I get so many compliments on it.
We didn't have a powder room or big entry way previously so when we closed on this house, I was elated I could utilize that space to decorate even more. So far, the powder room is my most favorite in the house with the deep navy walls and the Shawnee rug. Such fun pops of color and something different from the rest of our decor. And the Zeno rug by the front door? Perfection! I am still needing to finalize that space so stay tuned for an update down the line.
I know these can be pricey items but when shopping for rugs, make sure to look for neutral colors that you know can be used in homes to come if you'll be moving down the line. Go for quality versus quantity. I like to search rugs on Lulu & Georgia (because they have the most diverse styles) and create a wishlist so I can see all my choices in one place- then as finances work, I order one at a time because they last! You don't want to order 5 from Amazon and be replacing them in 2 years... right? ;)
Happy shopping!
A Brighter Smile
I've always been a fan of teeth whitening using different methods over the years starting back in high school and I was becoming super intrigued by options that offer light to enhance and make the process quicker. Smile Sciences reached out to me and I got my hands on their goodies a couple weeks back and within one week - ONE - I already have a night and day difference in the color of my teeth! I want to break down what comes in their kits for you and I have a coupon code (see below!)- yay!
Teeth Trays- These are kind of obvious because you'll need them to apply the solution to make those teeth nice and pearly white.
Tray Formula- The kit comes with a prepackaged amount of formula to apply to your teeth trays over time as you use it. I was a bit hesitant thinking that small thing wasn't going to cut it but I've hardly dented it over the last week. A little goes a long way so be frugal when applying it!
Touch Up Pen- Talk about convenience! This is what I've thrown in my purse for a quick touch up before heading out or for when I don't have a chunk of time to apply the teeth tray formula. The little Q-Tips are great to rub this on even better for you, too.
Light Activator- Now you can absolutely apply the teeth trays or touch up pen formula without the light but it's the reason I was so excited about this method. It simply speeds things up, enhancing your results in half the time. Wedding in a week or a big event you need a boost to your smile? The light is your new bestie.
Shade Guide- Equally exciting and terrifying. It tells you how yellow your teeth start and gives you the ease of watching them change as you commit to this system. Terrifying because you see those coffee, mustard, soda stains all too easily but exciting because progress and HELLO, a brighter smile!
After using this for the past week, it's been so great! I know these types of kits can run up there in cost and today Smile Sciences is offering you guys this package for a discounted rate of $29 (regularly $299). Hot damn! Get it girl. Use code "AUBREYKIT" when ordering to utilize that offer until September 11, 2015!
I've slightly become a pro at teeth whitening too so let me know if you have particular questions- I'd be happy to answer them!
In Honor of the Move
Today is the day, we are beginning our move! We had the painters there all week as well as new carpet installed and the backyard landscaped. So today, it's being deep cleaned and I'm starting with all the little annoying things before the uhaul comes tomorrow. Yay! I can't believe it's finally happening.
In honor of this great event (drama much?) I thought I'd round up some goodies I snagged or am lusting over from Anthropologie this last week and even better is they're on sale 20% off right now! How cute are these dish towels? I definitely got those for an upcoming wedding we're attending and I got this pitcher for our new bar area. Also, these plates! I may have gone crazy with Emery's first birthday party in mind and how I want to display things- haha! Happy shopping!
P.S. You can follow me on snap chat if you want for more inside house details... I'll be honest, I don't use it much but I probably will only post house related stuff there until we're completely settled in a few weeks! @aubreykinch

Traveling with Babes
Oh heavens. Do you guys remember when she was this small? This was 1 month old and I feel like she changed so much around the 3 month mark so anything before that she doesn't even look like herself! Hello alien baby.... ;)
Anyway, the point of this post is that we are going to be traveling in a couple weeks with her for the first time and I'm slightly panicked. We're headed to NY for my cousin's wedding which I'm pumped for but the flying with an infant part has me thrown. She's so stuck on her schedule and isn't one to nap unless it's in the car or her crib so I'm fairly certain, she won't sleep a wink during our first 4 hour leg or the second, hour leg of travel. We also have to get up about 3am to make it to the airport for our 6am flight soooo yeah. Terrified, I tell ya.
I've been reading all over tips for traveling but if you have some, please leave them below! Or even posts that you think would be helpful!
Thank you, all!
