Packing for Mexico
We are on the cusp of a Mexican vacation so my mind is all in packing mode! We are a short 4 hour drive from Rocky Point aka Puerto Penasco and are so in need of this little get away. It's our happy place and we visit a few times a year. This time, we're splurging one night and going down just hubby and wife before my whole family meets us down there for the rest of the long weekend. I plan to soak in that one day with my man on the beach, getting my tan on.... while he drinks for me. Womp womp, I do know everyone has plans to drink for me this trip so I'm the awesome DD, guess that's what happens when you're pregnant.
Anyway, I wanted to pull together my usual beach bag with my essentials this time without Corona and lime on the list and that's very saddening. Just saying. Enjoy shopping! xx

Minty Boho
Mint. The color that's been a go-to for the last two spring seasons and I'm not ready for it to leave. I surprisingly don't have much in mint and after getting this dress from Riffraff, I don't know why. It's soft and whimsical and adds just the right amount of color for myself who normally obsesses with neutrals. I've also been smitten with the gorgeous gladiator style sandals and finally snagged a pair from Charlotte Russe a few weeks back. I already know they will be worn a lot this warmer season and I don't hate it.
What are some of your favorite spring trends?

ILY Couture
About a month ago I finally broke down and ordered the super cute WIFEY tee from ILY Couture and when I got it in the mail, I was kicking myself for not ordering it sooner. The material is so soft and serene that I find myself lounging in this top nonstop when working from home. I feel I need a little incentive to break it from the four walls of our home so I pulled together a cute look for running errands or for dinner out with the family. Not surprisingly, I chose another ILY tee to stand in since they're all so darling!
What do you think, do you adore ILY as much as I do?
I know, I know.... this post is LONG awaited after I've raved all over instagram about my new found love for Mario but I finally took some time on Sunday and pulled together all my favorite goodies and how I use them. If you've been following this blog for a bit, you know I deal with unruly, adult acne with a side of oily slash dry skin so it's basically a hot mess. I've come across the holy grail IMO so I really hope this could help anyone out there who struggles in the same way I do. The best thing I love about this line is that it's budget friendly! I have thrown hundreds and hundreds down the drain trying and testing product after product and this is where it's at. The size they come in is also about triple the size of the average skin care line so it'll last you ages. HOLLA for that savings! Please let me know how this works for you if you give it a go and I've pulled everything together below to shop easily!
Also, thank you so much for all the love yesterday on our exciting news! We are elated to be celebrating a little miracle of new life and can't wait for you to follow along our journey.

Coming in October
Andrew and I are elated to share our prayers have been answered after many months and we will be welcoming our sweet B A B Y K I N C H this October! Big brother, Drake, is over the moon with excitement and can't stop talking about the baby and touching my growing belly (note: the pic above is exaggerated for fun- I'm only just showing). We are 8 weeks along and know the risk of sharing this soon but we want to celebrate this new life and joy God is bringing to our home. We trust Him and pray all goes well with a happy and healthy baby. We have always said how blessed we are and feel even more so after God has chosen us for this miracle.
For a little background, we found out at 3 weeks along and it was right after I returned from a trip to NY. I had spent month after month taking pregnancy tests praying for that positive result so it was time I had finally given up my worries and given it all the the Lord; you might remember that with this post. Little did I know, the Lord already had been working on our prayers. It was the next day I took a home pregnancy test and all our hopes and dreams of a family were confirmed. It has been rough with sickness which I'm sure you can tell but this is when I can fully explain why there hasn't been much activity on the blog because I'm too busy vomiting or sleeping.... #truth. I am happy to say I've gotten some meds to help so I hope to get my butt in gear again.
We are just so thankful to be blessed in this magnitude and thank you all for following our journey. I don't intend the blog to change in style as I already have doses of life and family but yes, you can expect my instagram to go crazy with baby related goodies. Sorry in advance, friends!

Black & White
dress | Riffraff (#riffrafflove), purse (similar, loving this)| Philip Lim x Target, wedges (option- just ordered in black!) | Forever 21, watch | Fossil, bracelet | Alex & Ani, sunnies | Prada
Do you ever have your outfit all planned out the night before to be prepared and then wake up hating your thoughts? Yeah, me too. All the time. It seems in that time of panic and frustration, I tend to always grab for this simple, chic black and white number from Riffraff. It may be the flowy chiffon material I'm loving with the warmer AZ weather or the dynamic pattern but I know this is one of my most favorite purchased pieces of all time. It's a winner and the compliments I received wearing it really seal the deal.

This week seriously flew by and I don't know how I feel about that. It was a productive one but it was also one I wish I could hold onto the moments of spending time with my love a bit longer. I know I've been slacking here on the blog but I was really inspired last night as I closed my work day so I figured why not create a little freebie for you? It's the infamous gold and black but it's so chic I just can't help but love it. Enjoy your weekend and maybe I'll be back next week with some more posts-- maybe not because the dude is on Spring Break and I have a feeling I'll be needing to keep him entertained!

Lately
You know it's been a while since you've blogged when your dad calls you out on not posting... ha, thanks daddy! I have no intentions of leaving this blog behind but after getting knee deep in client work with the design business, it's taken a back burner and rightfully so as it's a simple outlet. I've been learning my time with family is more important so when I have a moment I'm not balancing and creating for clients, I'm spending time with my husband and step babe.
It's a busy season in growing with design and it's something I'm so grateful for! It's also something testing how long I can go without a melt down (ha!) and how much work I can cram into a day. It's shown me what exhaustion means and what it's like to be fully burnt out but still not being able to sleep because your mind is with your clients and building boards in your head at 1am versus sleeping....so healthy! ;)
I'm not going anywhere but I am enjoying the time catching up on design work while I spend the new spring days with Drake and Andrew and family as they've been in and out of town and enjoying wedding planning with my brother & to-be sister! I'll be back... sooner than later!
