Valentine Cards for the Kids
Wasn't it so fun growing up with school holidays because you were able to look forward to bringing some kind of treat to share with your classmates? I always loved Valentine's Day and had crazy day dreams about the cute boys in my class giving me a Valentine Gram... didn't we all?

5 Easy Hosting Items
We are a family who loves to host guests from sleepovers with the cousins to family gatherings to just a bunch of friends for a game night. I've found over the years since we've been married and doing this, it's fun to have some items on hand you may not always think about along with a few that are no brainers. Here is my collection of ideas that can help your next time hosting...
Minimal Style
Over the last year I've really tried to refine my style and figure out what makes me happy in my closet. I have tattoos and really love them being a statement piece with clothing I wear so a lot of the time, I don't like color because it can clash. I've found myself gravitating towards a lot of neutrals with minimal detailing to stay stylish yet comfortable, even more so with kids. Olive and burgundy are really the most I branch out with creams and black being my go-to.

Our Home
Inspired By
I've had a hard time lately staying inspired outside of pinterest. I get sucked into the black hole of pinning and pinning and finding such beautiful things there but haven't been able to pull that feed into everyday life which helps so much for my line of work.

The Dining Table
When we bought our house back in August, I knew I wanted to utilize the formal dining room to it's full potential since we didn't have one in our previous house- just an eat in kitchen. I told my dad all about the farmhouse style table I wanted and he said he would build one for us! Whoop! We were so excited and of course, I started looking for inspiration all over the web. I came across one I loved and sent it over to him and he agreed!
Quick Update
Happy Friday! It's been 2 weeks of things being completely off course and we've been so fortunate over that time to not even think about the daily things in life to function. We've had friends and family stepping up in faith and providing us with food, gift cards, love, prayers, support and encouragement and it's been so amazing.
We're figuring out our new "normal" for right now while Andrew is away from work and it's been good. Emery is loving her daddy being home and I'm able to get some more dedicated time to work while he keeps an eye on her which has been super helpful from getting behind last week and not working while we were in recovery mode.
Andrew is still bordering pain/pressure on his hand and experiencing a lot of "phantom finger" so it's just weird. He explains it to me the best he can and I have no idea how my emotions would be if I were in his shoes. He's been so calm and collected- just praising God and staying positive. That man always looks for the silver lining and that's one reason I love him so much. He will have his sutures removed next Friday and from there, we will discuss the game plan with rehab and getting his hand fully functioning again.
I'm thinking next week we will be back more on the blog and social media but just wanted to check in here with a quick update for you! Hope you all have a great weekend! xo
Baby Style + a Giveaway!
I'm going to be really honest here. I hated the idea of moccs when I first started noticing them a few years ago. I can't even pinpoint why, maybe because I was dying for cute uggs and sandals when I had kids but now that I'm living it with a walking toddler, moccs make so much sense. I have to admit it, Susan knew what she was doing when she created these beauties and Freshly Picked and Emery solely lives in moccs. I'm not even going to lie about that one.

Valentine Finds for Littles
The fun thing about kids and each holiday is getting cute new jammies or clothing items corresponding to the holiday we're celebrating. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I do but because of that, I like to shop it early to ensure we're getting good use out of each piece we snag. Here are a few favorites of mine for Valentine's Day coming up!

His Accident
If you follow me on instagram, you know by now 2016 started on a bad note for our family. I wanted to take some time and write out as many details as I can on here to help answer questions that are being sent our way and to simply document our hearts during this time. I'll recap from my POV as best I can.
