The Ghost Chair
If you know me, you know I'm one who loves change. I'm sure it's something my husband could do without seeing as he comes home from work more often than not to things rearranged around the house or a room painted a different color. It's a curse, but also something I relish in knowing I can simply add one piece and it make a huge impact to altering the room.
AllModern reached out to me with the infamous ghost chair asking how I'd style it and I was quick to accept the challenge! I would consider my decor aesthetic to be more modern and streamlined than anything else, not traditional or classic but very clean and simple so the ghost chair was something I thought would really elevate our master bedroom in a small nook we have. I chose to add a few trendy accents with the morroccan pouf and faux fur rug but it's all the perfect area to drop my shoes and purse after arriving home or sneaking away to read a few magazines. Love the look I pulled together? Snag your ghost chair via AllModern, here!

First Walk
Sweet girl is one week old! Oh my gosh, how the time flies when you don't want it to. It's the most cliche thing to say especially being a new mom but my goodness, I just want to bottle up her sweetness and new baby smell for the rest of my life.
Currently, she's a total mama's girl and we love skin to skin time. We're struggling a bit with nursing because I'm not supplying enough to sustain her needs so we're mixing half breast milk (pumped) and half formula right now and she's a happy camper. I've ordered some things to help my supply so we will see if in the coming weeks I can boost my milk a bit. She loves her naps and is a complete cuddle baby. I've started a bad habit already of snuggling her in bed after our middle of the night feeding so she's used to being close to mommy all the time... yikes! I'll work on that! ;)
Yesterday, we went out for our first family walk with daddy in tow testing out the new travel system we got. We have the Maxi-Cosi Mico AP car seat in Treasured Green- which I'm beyond obsessed with- and the Quinny Zapp Xtra stroller. It comes with the adapters for the car seat to make it a travel system now and then later down the line, we can switch it back to the original seat it came with. So far, it's been a dream and girlfriend is happiest when in her car seat! Andrew and I joke if she won't nap to toss her in there and let her enjoy it because it's fool proof to get her sleeping. I just so look forward to the many more strolls we will be taking over the years together.
As for a little blogging update, I have a few posts lined up I want to get live along with her birth story before I forget every delicious detail so I'll be back next week intermittently. Can't wait to share! xo

Brealyn Nenes Photography | Branding
I am so excited to share a recent project I worked on with a dear friend of mine- Brealyn of Brealyn Nenes Photography! You might know our back story but here it is: Our guys work together at Discount Tire and she and I started chatting back in February, getting to know each other. After some time, we had a coffee date, totally hit it off and worked on a little blog/photography collaboration throughout spring and summer! During that time, she did all my blog photos and a few other events (here + here) and I worked on her new website launch. After getting it live about a month ago, I felt it was about time to share the mood board here and how it turned out!
I really do adore the whimsical touches of the color palette and the pop of gold glitter throughout. She was an angel to work with and we had so much fun pulling all her ideas together to create a space that's lovely and unique to her. I hope anyone who visits her site sees how much passion and joy she has sharing her love and talent of photography with the world!
Here's a bit about Brealyn:

Considering it's been 2 months since my baby shower and we're about to welcome baby girl any day now, I thought it was about time to blog it! I first have to send so many thanks to my mom particularly for spending weeks on end and a huge amount of money on making this day special for me. She's knows how picky and OCD I am so it was hard letting go and letting her do it all and she blew my expectations out of the water! It was the perfect touch of feminine and girly while remaining classy and gorgeous. Not too overdone- it was just right! Another thank you goes to my sister, Sami and grandma for helping mama with all the loose ends to make this day perfect for me. I have quite the amazing support system and send so much gratitude to them!
When we started chatting about a shower, I wanted something in the morning so I originally thought a brunch styled party with a waffle bar and mimosas but after thinking about it more, I dreamed of a little tea party. My mom had her caterer bring in tea sandwiches, macarons, scones and yummy desserts while my grandma made cupcakes as well. They brewed some tea and offered sangria, which was a huge hit! We played some games that my sister created and opened gifts- all the usual baby shower details- and Brealyn was there capturing the whole thing for us!
There's always one gift that does stand out and I have to say, it was a precious bible from my dad with "Emery Kinch" engraved on the front. It's blush pink and small so it's perfect for her (thanks for suggesting this to him, mom!) but I was all tears opening that! Looking back, it was lovely and exactly what I wanted. We were showered with so many goodies for Emery and I can't wait to see her with everything.

It's finally time to share this labor of love with you all! It's typical Aubrey in all it's gold and blush goodness and surprisingly, Andrew and Drake love it just as much as I do. Since finding out we were having a girl, I knew right away the direction I wanted to take this room and started getting things together quickly. I had a lot from my previous office so I was able to be resourceful but other items were either gifted by my parents or Andrew and I purchased them over the summer. My goal was to create a space that was soft, whimsical and serene for Emery but also something she can grow with and add lots of fun color to over time as she develops and becomes her own little personality. Looking back- it's perfect in my eyes and I wouldn't change a single thing. I hope you love it too!

Our Hospital Playlist
CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD DESKTOP BACKGROUND
A couple weeks ago I sat down and pulled together our hospital playlist. The list of songs I'd know would keep me calm or give me peace during labor and since creating it, I've been listening to it daily. Fifty-four songs, three hours and fifty-four minutes. It's something I'm cherishing because I know in certain moments while listening when we're in the hospital it'll be a moment that I'll never forget and in the future hearing those songs will take me right back to those sweet and wonderful memories of welcoming our little girl.
So without further ado, here's what made the cut:

These are in no particular order, we just plan to hit shuffle and enjoy! Some have zero meaning to them while others are ones I've always found comfort in but I feel like this is a pretty good variety while still giving calmer vibes. I just can't wait until it's that moment we're in the hospital, getting settled in and beginning to celebrate our baby's birth day! 23 days or less, friends.... not like I'm counting! ;)
