Baked Kale.
Baked Kale
kale
olive oil
salt
pepper
mozzarella
Clean and cut your kale, pat dry. I buy mine at Trader Joe's all cleaned and ready to cook. Line a baking pan with foil, spread your kale across evenly. Spray a mist of olive oil across the kale leaves; make sure not to add too much cause they won't crisp up then. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and your cheese of choice. I prefer mozzarella. Bake at 350 degrees roughly 10-12 minutes or until golden on the edges. Be careful not to burn/overcook them. Sometimes I coat with Apple Cider Vinegar-- courtesy of Holly's suggestion-- for a tart taste also purchased at Trader Joe's.
Enjoy. A healthy, quick snack with the naughty feel of eating high calorie potato chips.

Plain and simple. I loved the outfit I sported yesterday. Chic, feminine and minimal. Easy for a day at the office and versatile for volunteering with the youth at night. The blazer and bow top we purchases Tuesday so hurry and get them while they're hot! I've realized my go-to work outfit is similar to this all the time. A chiffon top, blazer and skinnies is what you'll most likely find me in. And a fabulous pair of heels but my feet were still recovering from their beating earlier this week.
What's your favorite work attire?
thoughts
i like to look back.
Sometimes you need little reminders of how life is so sweet and how life is so precious and how life is so beautiful. I like to take moments during my day to remember what was sweet to me the day before. Yesterday, I wore heels that haven't been broken in quite yet. I ended my day with blistered feet and a lot of pain. I snatched up some cozy socks, soaked and lathered my tootsies and enjoyed the warmth and healing those socks left me with.
It's really the small things. And those little moments make life so much more enjoyable. Today my feet are sporting some basic gladiators and feel well rested after a night of cozy socks burrowed in blankets.
vacation
closing the vacation weekend.
This weekend was an ultimate success. I've enjoyed spending my weekend with my in laws and all the people that includes. Andrew is one of 4 and his family is large and I love it. I couldn't be blessed with a better family to have married into and I can say without a doubt, I love them dearly and see them as my mom, dad, brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews and niece.
Taking the last 2 days enjoying God's beautiful creation as a family unit is something I won't forget. Building structure as a family with Drake, seeing Kori start becoming her own, watching Alex and Jon be cute little brothers beating up on each other and witnessing my cousins embrace their own family unit warms every fiber of my being.
I'd say Kohls Ranch-- Payson, AZ was a winner.

We're off.
We're off to Payson, AZ-- Kohls Ranch to be precise with hubs family for the next few days. Looking so forward to relaxation, cooler weather, family time and just enjoying the time away, disconnected. Happy Friday and enjoy your weekend.

I'm sick.
Hi.
My name is Aubrey.
And I have baby fever.
Big time.
This is so unlike me, but maybe since we we're around our sweet niece and goddaughter this weekend, it has me day dreaming about a Little Kinch. It makes me miss my Elle too. I'm not to sure but I better take it easy today and get over this fever.
It could be very, very dangerous.
Sardines.
Birthdays are funny how they work. Some are so memorable and some are ones you try to forget. This past birthday was by far, a favorite of mine. I spent a great day with my husband cruising around IKEA, the afternoon relaxing and sprucing up the house and dinner out with 16 of the closest people in my life.
We capped the night off with a few of the group coming back to our house intending to have a few drinks, chat a bit more and call it a great 23rd birthday-- little did most of us know, we were about to take it back old school style with a handful of rounds of Sardines. Heard of it?? It's kind of the best game ever and the one that's most nostalgic to me. Hide and seek reserved and we like to play it in the dark.
I was a giggly 13 year old for a good hour. And I kind of had the best hiding spots!
I went to bed with a huge smile on my face, appreciating the small things in life. Appreciating the way our group of friends (who are all mid-20's) can take time to be silly, playing games that practically make us pee our pants with so much laughter. How does it get better than that? I'm so fortunate, blessed, grateful and excited about the people and friendships God has placed in my life. I am the happiest I've been. Ever.
And to close it off, hubs ended my birthday saying to me "You're my bestie babe. Let's never change."
Sigh.
What a memorable birthday, yes?
My friends and family know me so well. All gifts were owls... only a few things are pictured above. And again, thank you Courtney for the outfit dilemma!
birthday.
I'm feeling blessed.
My hubs is rockin', I have the greatest support group around me and today I'm enjoying both those elements of my life while celebrating the good old birthday of mine.
Birthday Weekend-- hello to you!
I have so much on my mind today.
Tomorrow is my birthday and I realized late last night I have no idea what to wear when we go out. Like NO IDEA. I would normally grab my cute white H&M dress but I wore that on hubs birthday night so all the same people will be seeing it....again. And I just kind of love it so it's worn a lot. So obviously, that's not the best choice.
Courtney thinks I should wear a cute beige skirt I instagrammed a few weeks back with some bright sandals... which could be great. But I just don't know people! Suggestions are welcomed!
Speaking of my birthday-- hubs has done it. I cried when he told me what we were planning on doing. Like I was so smiley and couldn't contain my excitement! We're going wine tasting in Jerome! I'm a wine-o and have been wanting to go do this for the last year so I can't even wait! I know Ellen has been and she loved it so I can't wait to see what we think of it! I'm thinking some tipsy pictures will be gracing this blog in the near future.
And I have a sweet reveal for you. The new hurrr is complete!
I am loving it! I'll be honest, I know my husband is a blonde lover so when I decided to go darker I was nervous but I should never doubt him cause he sure knows how to make me feel special and loved with dark hair too! Again, I tell ya, he's a charmer. I have quite the catch in my man.
Well it's raining here in AZ today so I'm going to sit back and enjoy this rain while I can. Cooped up in the church office with my Starbucks (!!) duh!
Cheers to the weekend!
