Embracing Functional Pieces as a Mom

This may be so silly to talk about but my hair is getting so long! I'm an avid hair extension wearer and haven't been using them since February or so, trying to embrace my natural length and create volume with product and I think it's been successful! I'm actually loving it. Of course I have days I want to go all mom status and chop it off but I just can't do that. I've come to far!

Along with embracing my hair, I'm learning to embrace a wardrobe that's fully functional to being a mom and busy with 3 kids. I used to tell my husband I always felt pressured to be on and dressed well and I've found that I still can be but that doesn't have to throw comfort and functionality out the window.

Dwell + Slumber is a company that creates the softest caftan dresses in solids and prints, perfect for the at home mom, working mom, nursing mom or pregnant mom. They're one size fits most and they really are so fun to dress up with wedges and a belt at the waist or to wear low key for grocery shopping like I have here with strappy sandals and a teething necklace.

That's a win in my mamahood book! Have you heard of Dwell + Slumber before? I may have to add the olive or striped to my closet next.
