There are times when life is tough and everything seems to be closing in on you and your marriage fears tension and pressure from all other elements of daily happenings.
There are moments marriages blossom-- the seed is watered, nurtured, given trust and attention.
The Kinch House has been stressful for a good few months now but I'm happy to say life is slowing down. We're getting into the groove of things as we adjust to new jobs, the summer, family events and how to get some "us" time during all that chaos.
We have moments when God slaps us in the face saying-- "LOVE EACH OTHER!!"
We have moments I know God is smiling down on us pleased with how our marriage has evolved.
We're blossoming.
Pruning a fresh bud for this summer season.
A small kiss goes straight to the core of my heart, the hand holding gives me butterflies.
Laying in bed talking connects and bonds us.
Last night I asked:
"Are we going to be like this in 30 years?"
Hubs:
"As long as we let us be, so of course."
We choose when we bloom, we choose when we struggle.
If there's something so small and so unnecessary to bring up, why bring it up?
What a sweet, inspiring post young lady!! :) It's amazing what we have learned in the first year of our marriage and we are totally learning to 'choose our battles' and how to work through things together. I truly feel like we fall in love more every day-- I can't imagine the love we'll feel in 30 years :)
Love your honesty! I'm not married or even dating anyone, but I still believe in the the whole fairtytale prince charming thing. I think I'll let fate do the work for me :)
Very well said!!! I've been married for 15 years and I still have my moments where I get butterflies in my stomach :) I love being in love and being loved back.
I'm so happy to hear things are slowing down for you guys, and you're finding more time to connect! Wonderful!! Can't wait to see you guys for the BBQ tomorrow :D
Great post! I am glad that things are starting to come together. Marriage is hard, but there are beautiful times :). I hope the new jobs are going well.
