Easter is such a special celebration in our household and we just soak it up, celebrating our risen King! We hosted last year in our previous home and we were lucky enough to get both my family and Andrew's family together this year and host again! We absolutely love entertaining and having people over so it's just something I'll always cherish and be grateful for the opportunity doing so.
We opted not to do Easter baskets this year but the kids were able to pick out cupcakes from Sprinkles for our lunch/dinner and Drake was pumped! He gave up chocolate for lent so having a double chocolate cupcake was like heaven. We filled the house with some pretty spring flowers, decorations from the Target $1 bins and used our favorite place mats and napkins from Minted again.
It was just so stinkin' darling watching Emery dying eggs and doing the egg hunt. She had such a zest for the day and I was all sorts of glowing watching her and Drake together. We did snag one good picture of the kids and one... not so great "real life" picture. Had to share! ;)
